ABOUT

Oguta is located in Imo State of Nigeria, and shares boundaries with Anambra, Delta and Rivers States. It lies within the Lower Niger drainage basin. Oguta is the headquarters of the Oguta Local Government Area and is one of the four crude oil producing Local Governments in Imo State.  It is made up of 27 villages that live closely with each other along the lake shore. The town is so closely knit that you can hardly draw boundary lines between the villages. They have a rich culture. They eat and drink together. They are generally very expressive and flamboyant. It is a beautiful well planned tourist town. There are two main residency areas, Imeobodo and plot.
