AWEP Nigeria Flags off Power Project in South East and South South Nigeria

African Women Enterpreneurship Program (AWEP) Nigeria flagged off its the POWER Project Workshop on the 24th and 25th of June 2022 at Umuanabe Village in Ihe Community Awgu LGA Enugu State Nigeria with 168 participants in attendance
The AWEP POWER project is an Agric Entrepreneurship training program that will guide over 700 women and youths between age 18 & 40 on Agric Enterpreneurship in the South East and South South Zones in Nigeria. This project is supported by the Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation
On Friday and Saturday 24 and 25th June respectively,  the AWEP Project Team,  Tessy Igweani,  Stella Eneh,  Nkiru Nwogu and Ifeoma Ajumobi led by the Project Director, Amede Achingale  kick started the project with training *168 women* and youths of Ihe Community Awgu LGA Enugu State at the Umuanebe Village Hall in Ihe. It was two days of intense interactions and engagement on understanding various business planning, formation and management processes.
Few women who showed entrepreneurial traits and great understanding of the processes they were taught, were recognised for their efforts and encouraged to do more by the Project coordinator, Engr Stella Eneh.
The participants got the AWEP POWER PROJECT Training Manual and Certificates of participation. They were also given lunch during the training sessions each day.
Emminent personalities present at the event who presented some of the certificates are Brigadier General Goddy Nwafor ( Rtd), Lolo Ugoeze Celine Okwale – Wife of HRH Barr Moses Okwale the traditional ruler of Lokpaukwu in Abia state, and Mrs Kazaih Udeh CWO Chairlady
They thanked the team for their efforts to empower women in Ihe Community.
